Description: Köln, Anton Hierat, 1602, in-folio, (16) nn pp + 1151 pp + (44) nn pp (index) + (1)(bl). Bound in contemporary full calf over wooden boards, panel stamps on both covers ( Spes Non, Fides...), traces of brass clasps. Leather with some wear, spine repaired with two strips, and some old cloth. Endpaperes with some tipped on 19th c. woodcut ills.Binding still sound and the book with a fine interior. Ex-library with a circular rubber stamp of a Roman Catholic institute on the title page. This is the first German edition. Rare only 2 copies outside Germany. USTC 2078491.. .
