Description: Mainz, Balthasar Lipp , Arnold Mylius, 1599, in-8°, (14/16) nn pp + 397 pp + (7)nn pp, ex-library with stamps on the verso of the title. Bound in contemporary full leather, raised gilt spine, both covers with gilt decoration ; the canon scene in the middel with intricate gilt decoration at the four corners. All edges gilt , traces of silk ties. Binding with some wear but rather good copy. Lacks unfortunately the leaf (.:)8 ( engraving). This leaf is provided in photostat. USTC 664128 . .
