Contemporary dark brown half-leather/dark brown pebbled cloth, five panel spine divided with black-stamped double rules, gilt-stamped lettering & decoration on each panel, gilt-stamped lettering on front, beveled edges on covers, decorated edges, floral patterned endpapers, 2 vols. in 1, paginated individually, (LaGrange) vii, 441pp, (Noble) 502pp. Each volume is arranged as: County History - which includes military rolls through the Civil War, Touwnship Histories, Biographical Sketches, Portraits and "Views," i.e. illustrations of five significant buildings including the County Court Houses. Generally a well preserved, large, volume, showing light overall wear, a bit more to covers corners, faded edges, text quite bright, clean, pliable and easily readable. Very Good.
