Dutch language collection of rather moralizing stories, of which two of importance, e.g.: the abiolition of slavery in the dutch colony of Surinam (Guyanas) (viz.: frontispiece), and a story about animals of the Oceans which includes the secrets of the Whale (also illustrated); riddles. songs, mathematics, natural history, travels by land and water, inventions. in East and West. Untrimmed copy, printed in double collumns. Good. (spine reinforced with a modern cloth strip, contents and plates fresh and clean, rather unusual for a children's book).
