Hftitle (verso blank). 63pp. Footnotes/references Original latin language Ph.D. dissertation submitted to Leiden University, researching into life and work of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa (c. 63-12 BC), a Roman statesman and general. He was a close friend, son-in-law, lieutenant and defense minister to Octavian, the future Emperor Caesar Augustus. He was responsible for most of Octavian's militaire victories, most notably winning the naval Battle of Actium against the forces of Mark Antony and Cleopatra VII of Egypt. Nice copy in original publ. wrappers, unopened and printed on heavy paper. (upper left corner of lower outer cover clipped).
