Annually published dutch language illustrated magazine in which the dutch public is informed about hitherto less known parts of the Globe, indigenous population, cultre, manners and customs, religion (Islam), local antiquities and architecture, including reports of discoveries and voyages through Asia (including the Dutch East Indies, China and Japan), Africa (including Algeria, Morocco and Tunesia), Asia Minor (Turkey), the Middle East (Palestinia, Libiya) and the more remote parts of Europe. The magazine can be seen as a pastiche of the french equivalent, Le Tour du Monde.
