Book in excellent condition - light shelf and edge wear only--tiny bump to bottom edge front cover; light rubs, no interior marks. Paper cut is a picture cut out of paper. This book has 8 paper cuts, each one representing the face makeup of a character performed by the Peking Opera. The paper cuts are individual cut outs, slipped behind a sheet of plastic opposite a scene from the particular opera. An explication of the makeup's significance is in English and Chinese.
