The Lives of the British Reformers, Embellished with Twelve Portraits

Embossed red cloth binding with gold lettering and decorations; binding is lightly scuffed on its faces and a little rubbed at all its edges, especially at its spine ends and corners; binding is also a little darkened at its spine. Page block edges and endpapers are a little darkened with age, and top page block edge is a little dust-stained. Owner's name in ink on title page. Book is square, tightly bound, and clean--text is unmarked. ; Undated, apparently mid-19th-century. Pages are not numbered consecutively, as if compiled and reorganized from another source--owner has supplied consecutive page numbers in pencil. Striking B & W engravings of some of the more important reformers, with tissue guards. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 494 pages. Very Good- .
