Small quarto, original gilt and illustrated cloth : visible but very minor external signs of use, but a very bright and impressive copy retaining mounted embossed card on upper board : contents very good to excellent, with small clean marginal tears to two leaves, one leaf with amateur adhesive paper repairs, and the following leaf with small repair and clean tear (without loss) affecting one illustration. ¶ Chromolithographic frontispiece, and with black-and-white illustrations by J. King, F. Reason, Howell, Bauerle, Harrison Weir, K. Street, Chase, Foster, Prout and others.
