Uncut in yapp papered boards, blind-stamped, and simulating the old vellum, blaack-lettered on backstrip. ¶ *** The last book produced by the Oxford University Press under the management of Henry Frowde, and so indicated by a presentation plate on the front paste-down, signed by Frowde, and inscribed to George Robertson of Angus & Robertson. With, loosely inserted, a lithographed circular letter from the new University Printer, Humphrey Milford, explaining the background of the book, and also addressed to Robertson. Again loosely inserted is an address slip from Angus & Robertson to J.A.Ferguson. The text of the book contains Bodley's autobiography to 1609, extracts from his will, his first draft of proposed statutes for the public library at Oxford, funeral orations, the order of the 1913 commemoration, and other relevant matters.
