An avid traveler and geographer, Philipp Cluver (1580-1623) was born in Gdansk, but spent most of his life in Leiden. Originally published in 1624, this atlas was considered a standard for many years, as evidenced by its numerous reissues. 323 pp. of text including table of contents and index; illustrated with 3 inserted tables.
