Guy Miège (1664-1718) was a native of Lausanne and settled in London in 1661. He joined the suite of Charles Howard, the English Ambassador, to Russia, Sweden and Denmark, whose travels and missions abroad are recounted in the present work. Miège gives an accurate description of 17th century life in Russia, including a detailed account of Moscow, and her northern neighbours. First published in 1669, reprinted many times. Berghman 1481.
