Old inscription. First edition of this narrative about a journey along the Nepal-Sikkim frontier by the Singalila Ridge. Nina Mazuchelli's husband, Francis, a British army chaplain, was posted to Darjeeling after eleven years on the plains. Nina persuaded her husband and friend ('C') to explore the glaciers of the eastern Himalaya. They were not prepared for the blizzards and the snowstorms and were almost killed.
