This work about the history of the Persian king Thamas Kouli-Kan or Nadir Chah was published anonymously and has been attributed to De Cerceau. First published as "Histoire de la dernier revolution de Perse" in 1728 based on Krusinski's memoirs and in 1741 issued as "Histoire de Thamas Kouli-Kan, Sofi de Perse". This is an Italian translation of the latter work. Nadir Shah (1688-1747) was one of the greatest rulers in Persian history. This work contains a description of the Persian empire and its history, religion and manners and also includes information about Candahar and Ladak in Afghanistan.
