Later (18th-cent.) crimson straight-grained morocco, double-ruled borders, gilt-tooled spine with raised bands, gilt dentelles, a.e.g., marbled endleaves, armorial bookplate. Mild wear at extremities, light dampstain at top gutter margin (extending into text) through first 20 leaves. A very good, clean copy, handsomely bound. ¶ Third Elzevier edition. First published in 1649, the present school text is based upon earlier sixteenth-century collections by Joachim Périon and Henri Estienne.
