First published in 1783, this compendious history of England includes an account of certain notable events in the former American colonies. More than 20 artists contributed to the illustration which includes full-length figures of all monarchs in period dress, a complete collection of English coins, royal seals from William I to George III, and, of course, the signing of the Magna Charta and other significant historical occasions.
