Full contemporary polished mottled calf, navy blue and green morocco spine labels, spines decorated with alternating gilt chains and running bands of shellfish marking off compartments containing an eight-pointed star surrounding a many-pointed star. Bookplate of Sir Edmund Antrobus. Some light rubbing, else a fine and atrractive set. ¶ The first four volumes are dedicated to the works of Virgil, and the last to C¾sar. Throughout, the main focus is on the finer and more complex matters of grammar of Latin. An interesting language book which is rarely found. It does not appear in Brunet, and NUC locates only one copy
