Bound in a later 17th-century sombre binding of black morocco tooled in blind with a background cottage-roof design of hatched and parallel lines and tooled on top with large tulip tools and rolls of small flowers and sprays, rebacked with calf spine, later endpapers, bookplate of Francis North, Baron of Guilford, 1703, on verso of title-page, near contemporary manuscript notes on one interleaf, some wear to extremities, title-page creased, very good. Darlow & Moule 395; ESTC s91020. ¶ A 17th-century English sombre binding on a Scottish printing of the New Testament. This New Testment is often found as part of the complete Bible, published by Young with a 1637 date on the title page (ESTC s90544). Young was the first to print the King James Bible in Scotland in 1633
