Richard Peters was a lawyer, judge and Revolutionary patriot of Pennsylvania and from 1792 until his death in 1828 he was a judge of the United States District Court of Pennysylvania. Peters was also a noted farmer, being the first President of the Philadelphia Society for the Promotion of Agriculture.
