The Second Maiden's Tragedy. Now first printed from the original Ms. in the Lansdown collection.
London: Printed for Charles Baldwin, 1824. (CRUIKSHANK, GEORGE) Sm 8vo. Engraved frontispiece by George Cruikshank. Later 3/4 brown morocco with the original yellow paper wrappers bound in, the front bearing a printed label, t.e.g., hinges rubbed, else fine. Cohn 617. ¶ With George Cruikshank's signature ("Geo Cruikshank") in ink on title page. He has initialled the frontispiece, "An Ancient Theatre, Copied fron a rare Print, prefixed to Roxana, a Latin Play, 1632." One of a series of eight plays entitled "The Old English Drama," which was issued in parts 1824-5, and in two volumes in 1825. Cruikshank produced two engravings for the series
