Binding soiled, lacking some ties, rubbed, photographs tipped onto very thin paper that has brittled generally not affecting photographs, tears in sheets, else a very good collection of photographs, some with penned identifications on verso. ¶ The photographic record of the journey of seven young American ladies and their chaperon on the ship "König Albert Bremen" travelling through Holland, France, Switzerland, Italy, Gibraltar and the Azores with several photographs of Naples, Venice, Versailles, Lake Como, Pisa as well as views and buildings in the country. As well as photographs of buildings and places, many show the people in native dress or attire and some show modes of travel such as a dog cart, open carriage and trolleys. There are a few photographs of bathers and bathing chairs at the beach and several of the group sightseeing. There are photographs of the officers of the ship, of the ladies enjoying the trip (some with bottles of wine) and several showing the Steerage passengers packed onto the decks
