London: Printed by W. Reynolds, 1827. (BALLOONING) ca. 7 1/2 x 13 inches. . Some offsetting, spotting and marginal browning, short tears, else a very good copy. ¶ Following the tragedy starring Charles Kemble and Charles Mayne Young is listed the comic pantomime "Harlequin Mother Shipton; or Riquet with the Tuft." Among the succession of the Scenery by the Grieves will be "an exact representation of the Ascension of Mr. Green's Balloon which will traverse the whole Circle of the Theatre and descend at Richmond Bridge." Charles Green, the noted aeronaut's first ascent was on the coronation of George IV, the 19th July 1821 and made from Green Park, London. He was the first person to ascend in a balloon filled with carbutetted hydrogen gas. His best known construction, "the Great Nassau Balloon" that he had original constructed for Vauxhall Gardens and later purchased made numerous celebrated ascents
