N.p. [English?], n.d. [ca. 1850?]. (ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM) 4 1/4 x 5 3/8 in.; 11 x 13.7 cm. Text in Latin, 28 leaves in a gothic hand in black ink, with 25 large decorated initial captials in red, green, and blue over gold backgrounds, with multi- colored floral tendrils in margins, first initial with small minitaure portrait of St. Nicolas, occasional smaller blue and red captials with ornamental descenders. Full brown pigskin, covers slightly bowed, vellum leaves slightly soiled and mottled. ΒΆ An unusually fine example, probably mid-nineteenth century, in the style of a 15th-century Italian illuminated manuscript
