This first edition of Fourier's work on the theory of equations was published in 1831 after his death by Claude-Louis Navier. it contains much original matter, including a demonstration of Fourier's theorem on the position of the roots of an algebraic equation. Fourier is also generally credited with the discovery of the greenhouse effect involved with global warming.
