A collection of twelve stories, some of which had previously been published in the Saturday Evening Post. One of the stories is Flashing Spikes, which O'Rourke later developed into a novel. Other stories are Last Accounting, Delayed Decision, Home Game, Nothing New, One More Inning, and The Best Position. O'Rourke was one of the leading baseball fiction writers during this era.
