A scarce collection of humrous poems, some entirely nonsensical, by the fictional author "Makoko Kangourou", presumably a Liberian born in 1870. The true authors were Marcel Prouille and Charles Moulie. Composer Francis Poulenc based part of his "Rhaposodie Negre" on these poems. All copies were printed at the same time in the same place, but belong (again, fictitiously) to different editions. The cover of this copy says "4e edition", but like I said, there was only one edition, and only one printing. Printed on good wove paper. 8vo. Original wraps. Uncut. FINE AND BRIGHT. Rare in such fine condition. Offered for US$ 95.00 by: Cole & Contreras Books / Sylvan Cole Gallery - Book number: 3356 See more books from our catalog: Literature | |||
