Title: The Sun in the Sands.
Description: Faber, London, 1945. 1st Edition. Hardcover. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 249pp. Red cloth lettered in gold at the spine. Portrait frontispiece. Top edge and endpapers a little spotted. Former owner details inked to the head of the front pastedown (and entirely obscured by the wrapper flap). Printed on slightly substandard wartime economy paperstock, yet still a very good copy in very good non-price-clipped dust wrapper, tanned at the spine panel and with a little fading to the publisher's red spine lettering. A book partially written when Williamson was staying in Florida in 1934; sixteen years after the original publication he would re-work the text, transforming it into the third person and making it the basis for the ninth volume of 'A Chronicle of Ancient Sunlight'. Very Good/Very Good.
