Title: The Sun in the Sands.
Description: Faber, London, 1945. 1st Edition. Hardcover. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 249pp. Red cloth lettered in gold at the spine. Portrait frontispiece. A tiny indentation to the head of the upper and lower boards, and the preliminary leaves lightly spotted. A nice crisp copy, albeit produced on slightly inferior wartime paperstock, housed in the dust wrapper, a slightly tanned and dust marked example with a short tear to the head of the spine panel and a little chafing to spine ends and tips of corners. 'The Sun in the Sands' was partially written when Williamson was staying in Florida in 1934. Sixteen years after the original publication he would re-work the text, transforming it into the third person and making it the basis for the ninth volume of 'A Chronicle of Ancient Sunlight'. Very Good/Good.
