Lower edge rough trimmed. Corners rubbed, boards marked and the backstrip faded, rubbed at the ends and with some wear. Spine label chipped and partially defective. A tiny hint of spotting to the endpapers, else a surprisingly crisp and bright copy internally. Former owner name inked to the rear pastedown. Lacking the dust wrapper. This first US issue includes several minor textural alterations which were apparently unauthorised and appear in no other edition. Very uncommon - we have only offered a single copy of this edition in the last ten years. Good/No Jacket.
