BURTON, RICHARD Autograph Signed Letter
1900. Dated October 14, 1900 this letter (6 x 9 1/2 inch) with the University of Minnesota letterhead was sent by Mr. Burton to his publisher inquiring about the safe arrival of his manuscript "Whittier" which was published in 1900. Also mentions royalties due him of $10.68. Richard Burton (1861-1940) was a poet, critic, and college professor. Several times he served as head of the English Deptartment for the University of Minnesota. Fine.
