BEECHER, HENRY WARD Autograph Quotation Signed
. One page. Five by eight inches. In black ink. On Beecher's Brooklyn stationery. Beecher (b. 1813--d. 1887) was a Congregational clerbyman, abolitionist and pro-suffrage reformer. He was a lecturer and author of many books. The quotation reads: "A great deal better to leave a name off than to put the wrong one one--we cannot be too careful in signing names. Henry Ward Beecher. Thansk for your faith." Ink blott and small coffee-like stain in bottom margin, not affecting handwriting. Very Good.
