NP: Luce Press Clipping [compiler], 1988. Cloth boards. Folio in black boards (approx 16 x 24 inches); 10 pages of press clippings; 1 full-page pencil drawing (unfinished );15 blank pages. Presumably an unique item. Thirty-two newspaper and wire service articles pertaining to so-called 'Satanic ritual killings', grave defielments & Satanism in youth. All are dated 1988 and are form newspapers across the country (Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Virginia. Arizona. Florida, Georgie, NY, etc.). A gruesome medley. The pencil drawing seems to have a sophmorics missionary/Christian bent to it. as though rawn by a teenager: Little ovals form interlinked chain-paths; some ovals have symbols in them (a cross, phallus, guitar, fetus, heart. eyeball, family.); many a re blank. Cleanly though amateurishly executed ; unifinished. One of the strangest items I have catalogued in a long while. // Crypt desecration, corpse abuse, teenagers, amateurs, Satanism; crime, homicide; Satan ; Satanic youth. / Nefarious Americana. Fine .
