Boards lightly rubbed; very mild and quite small damp stain to last page and paste-down, title page midly foxed; sparse foxing throughout; overall remarkably Near Fine considering age., In French. Scarce, especially in such nice condition. Binding may be later; difficult to ascertain. An anonymous satire by "Béroalde de Verville". Written in the manner of Rabelais, around the year 1610. Also published as 'Le coupecu de la mélancolie' and 'Le salmigondis'.
