Vellum binding (small wormhole in upper hinge; some pp. a bit stained; with some old annot.; first 7 leaves (title incl.) with repairs in lower margin; small hole in inner margin first 12 leaves (affecting the text); LACKING pp. 43-46); top margin cropped a bit tighly, sometimes affecting the running title, or pagination; slight worming in outer margin of p. 193-220, not affecting the text.) ¶ Provenance: bookplate: Bourbon, au Boistissendeau; names on title; and last page ('ex dono Joannis Gulielmi anno d(o)m(in)i 15[8?]7 die 8 octob.' ¶ Frans Heme (Franciscus Haemus), born in Lille, was professor in Courtrai. He dedicated this collection of poems to Johannes van Loo, abbott of the abbey Eversham near the village of Stavele in the West-Flanders.
