18. Paperback. DANIELLS, William. SKETCHES OF A VOYAGER. N.p., N.d. Engraved title + 25 plates: monochrome soft-ground etchings with aquatint. Oblong quarto. 24.5 x 30.5 cm. Green cloth-backed heavy red paper wrappers, which are embossed with a floral motif and have a gilt-lettered black label on front cover. Wrappers show general soiling and edge chipping. Plates have medium to heavy foxing. Illustrations show nautical, landscape, and animal images from around the world. Daniell (1769-1837) traveled to India with his uncle Thomas Daniell in 1784 and, when they returned in 1794, they produced 'Oriental Scenery'. He also published `A Picturesque Voyage to India,' `Zoography,' `Animated Nature,' `Views of London,' `Views of Bhootan,' from drawings by Samuel Davis, and `A Voyage round Great Britain.'.
