Tokyo, New York, & San Francisco: Kodansha International Ltd., (1973). This copy is number 13, from an edition limited to 300 copies, with a portfolio of five signed original prints. The prints are by Fukita Fumiaki, Funasaka Yoshisuke, Kurosaki Akira, Tamura Fumio, and Yushida Hodaka. Each print is signed and numbered (13/300); and all are stored in a black stiff-paper portfolio. Two quarto volumes, profusely illustrated in color and black, contain a brief biography and an analysis of style for each artist included in the survey. The books are bound in green (Volume 1) and purple (Volume 2) cloth, lettered to spines, and with decoration blind- stamped to upper boards. Plus a Descriptive List of Plates (60 pp., black paper wrappers) containing technical information concerning the prints reproduced in the books. All are housed in a black cloth clamshell box, stored in the original publisher's box. A beautifully produced survey of modern Japanese print artists in fine condition.
