Brief, provocative history of the invention, in 1805, by the Reverened Forsyth of the percussion lock, an important technical innovation in firing mechanisms that permitted gun powder to ignite without the dangerous flash produced by early flintlocks. Tan cloth binding, with blue lettering. Ink stamp to the front pastedown, with a bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. A crisp and clean, very good copy. Very Good.
