A delightful and scarce little children's book, about a kookaburra who tells his story about being rescued and made into a family pet, and eventually stars in a portrait with 10 other kookaburras (the foldout plate). (Not to be confused with the first edition, published by Robert Jolley, Melbourne, no date but 1915.) Written dedication states: "Billy - with love and sincere wishes, from Grace, Christmas 16".
