The spine is faded with the head & tail chipped. 375 pages. The hinges are cracked. The edges of the pastedowns & endpapers are faded & the front endpaper is detached with a small piece out of the bottom corner. There is an owner's faded name & address on the flyleaf & the bottom corners of the first few leaves are creased. There is a small tear to the top edge of the title page. Numerous black-and-white illustrations. Good. The first book in this series.
