The author pays close attention to the versions circulated by the early troubadours as well as to Malory's and Spenser's. Those versions by Matthew Arnold, Sir Walter Scott, Tennyson, Swinburne and Wagner are all observed as are the modern versions by John Masefield and Edwin Arlington Robinson. Very good .
