Good. - Small quarto [10-1/2 inches high by 8-5/8 inches wide], black cloth titled in gilt. The binding is bumped with creasing to the top inner corner of the front cover. There is some minor bubbling & a small, light stain to the rear cover & its top corner is chipped. There is a short tear & slight fraying to the head of the spine. 230 pages plus colophon. Black- and-white photographic illustrations & numerous tables. There is a small glue mark to the title page & to the facing illustration where a corrective printed label has been mounted over some previous copy. There is a red ink notation on the Contents page. A few rear bottom corners are bumped & a very small area of the bottom edge is soiled. Good. Good .
