The covers are rubbed & bumped with a piece out of the leather at the bottom corner of the front cover. The spine is rubbed with pieces out & the label is chipped. The joints are split. xxiii, 1 blank & pages [25]-385. The book is cracked at the flyleaf & the rear hinge is starting. The edges of the pastedowns & endpapers are stained & there is an owner's inscription on the front endpaper. There is scattered foxing & staining & some pages are darkened. The front edge of 1 leaf is roughed. Mild ex-library with a library label on the front pastedown. Fair working copy.
