Herbert Draper Gallaudet [1876 -1944] was the youngest son of Edward Miner Galludet, who founded Gallaudet University, the first college for the deaf. Herbert Gallaudet became pastor of the First Congregational Church in Waterbury, Conn. in 1912 and served there until he retired in 1938. He served as an army captain during World War I. These World War I poems are based on his own experiences. Very good .
