Filling the front endpaper is an inscription in the form of an autograph letter from Franklin Keller to Fridolf Johnson of the Mermaid Press and his wife, dated June 15, 1962 and signed "Yours as ever, Franklin": "You have been remarkable publishers--editors, copy readers, printers--above all, loving friends, who have brought into being this beautiful memorial to my beloved Evelyn...."
