Softcover, bound in pictorial tan wraps titled in red & black with an illustration by Leonard Baskin printed in black along the front & rear covers. The covers are lightly soiled and the corners are creased. The rear cover is rubbed along the spine. 21 pages of introductory material, followed by unnumbered catalogue pages & profuse full-page black & white illustrations of American art, plus the colophon. Very good internally. The catalogue, including the pictorial wraps, is designed by Leonard Baskin.The exhibition is described as "A selection of American art from collections open to the public in communities of one hundred thousand or less". The text consists of a foreword by William C. Murray, an introduction by Howard Mumford Jones and an essay by Richard B. K. McLanathan.
