The book is cocked. The covers are lightly bumped & the spine is a bit faded. 6-page publisher's catalogue, title, 361 pp. & 4-page publisher's catalogue. There is an ink name in the top right corner of the title & occasional light foxing. Very good. An early printing of Tourgee's novel on the post-Civil War Reconstruction.
