Description: London: Jones & Co, 3 Acton Place, Kingsland Road, 1828 . 0. Salters Hall St. Swithin’s Lane built by Henry Carr between 1824 and 1827 but destroyed by fire in 1941. Engraved by William Wallis (fl.1816-1855) from original studies (now in the Museum of London and the Guildhall Library) by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd. Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 10.8 cm x 15.1 cm (approx. 5.75” x 4.25”). In good and clean state, on lightly toned paper. The glazed modern frame measures: 24.4cm x 28.5cm (9.5" x 11.25"). ** Thomas Hosmer Shepherd (16 January 1793, France – 1864) was a British topographical watercolour artist well known for his architectural paintings.
