Good, in a Good, mylar-protected dust jacket. 1952 hardcover first edition; size: 4to. Light green cloth with gilt titles, and county seal on the front board. (x), 373 pages, with many photographs. Solid book with bright boards and moderate edgewear. Front pastedown has the bookplate of Genevieve Beall Porter, plus a typed poem by Emily Carey Alleman, that has been affixed to the paper. A few small underlinings and notations in text. Jacket has much soiling and edge-chipping, and a dampspot on the spine panel. Chips are backed by colored paper. Also included: a handful of newspaper clippings, and a 1962 Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage pamphlet, that may be of interest. Good/Good. Signed.
