Blindstamped titles and embossed illustrations on front board. 267 pages, with many b&w illustrations. Someone has tipped in a full-color print of "Boyhood of Sir Walter Raleigh", by John E. Millais, on blank page 62. Solid (re-glued) book with bright boards, moderate edge-fraying, and chipping to spine extremities. Spine has some wrinkling and several closed tears. Newsprint browning and some glue residue on front endpapers; remnant of clipping & browning on first 2 preliminary blank pages. Light foxing and some paper-lift on rear endpapers. Text is nice and bright. Fair to Good. Good.
