Marbled edges and endpapers. Each volume full of beautiful woodcut and steel etched engravings. Books are solid; Volume 1 has a 1" crack at bottom of outer-front hinge. Books have moderate edge-scuffing, and rubbing to marbled board paper. Spines of Volumes 1&2 are bright; volume 3 is fairly bright, with moderate soiling, and rubbing to black spine label. Ink name on preliminary blank page of each volume. Each volume has moderate foxing to the first and last blank pages; texts are clean and bright. Good to VG. Good.
